The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is conducting an audit of the financial dealings of Oklahoma State Senator Rick Brinkley. The Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau terminated Brinkley's employment on April 26^th, 2015, after conducting an internal investigation. Brinkley was the COO for the Bureau. The problems began in January, when Brinkley filed a campaign report with the Ethics Commission that indicated he had written a check from his campaign account to the Better Business Bureau for almost $50-thousand. He repaid the fund from his personal account. Brinkley maintains that he is innocent and is cooperating with the investigation.
