After deliberating for nearly four hours on Thursday, a Washington County Jury found Jacky Ray Harper guilty of kidnapping and domestic assault and battery.  Harper was found not guilty of first degree rape, domestic assault and battery by strangulation, and first degree burglary. 

The case took place in 2013 between Harper and his ex-girlfriend.  The jury recommended that Harper be sentenced to one year in the county jail and pay a $1,000 fine on the domestic assault and battery count.  The jury also recommended that Harper serve six years in prison and a $10,000 fine on the kidnapping charge.

Harper's sentencing date is scheduled for August 20th.  He was taken into custody and is not bondable.
