Help for rehabilitation is available for home owners living near Downtown Bartlesville. A Tax Increment Finance District has been created for an area that makes a band around downtown. Residential consultant for the area, called Capitol Hill, Carol Ervin, describes the borders.

Ervin said that the Bartlesville Redevelopment Trust Authority is the managing entity for TIFD funding grants, one of which is a $5000 matching grant that addresses blight issues. She said progress has been made in bringing homes in the area up to code. For those that don't have the finances to match the grant amount, there's the Washington County Affordable Housing Coalition. There are guidelines to qualifying and you can find out more at 918-214-4310.
