2A, 3A Baseball District Sites and Pairings Announced
The high school baseball regular season is beginning to wind down across the state as teams begin to prepare for the postseason. The OSSAA recently announced the host sites and pairings for classes 2A and 3A.
Host teams earned the right to play at home for a best-of-three game series to decide who advances to the regional tournament
Caney Valley has been ranked among the 15 teams in class 2A all season long. The Trojans stand at 14-8 with one regular season game remaining. While Nowata has struggled to a 6-11 regular season record. The Trojans won both meetings between the two teams in mid-march.
Pawhuska will play host to Oklahoma Union. The Huskies have lost five of their last six but still stand at 12-10 overall. Oklahoma Union had an up-and-down season with a 7-13 record.
In 3A, Dewey’s strong second half gave them district host rights to play Newkirk. The Doggers are 12-12 with three regular season games remaining.
All district series must be completed by April 28. The regional tournament will begin May 3.
