A former Bartlesville High Bruin got in on a few snaps last night in the Detroit Lions 27-23 preseason loss to the Atlanta Falcons. AJ Parker is back for his second season in Detroit after making some noise last year.

While Parker didn’t record a tackle in the game in his limited snaps, he and the Lions held the Falcons to a 17-17 tie heading into the locker room at halftime.

Detroit led the game late with a 23-20 lead, but Atlanta rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder – who was drafted by the Falcons from Cincinnati – threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Jared Bernhardt with 1:30 remaining in the fourth quarter to secure a preseason road victory.

Other NFL preseason games on Friday night:

Cleveland 24, Jacksonville 13

NY Jets 24, Philadelphia 21

Arizona 36, Cincinnati 23

San Francisco 28, Green Bay 21

Regional teams seeing preseason action today include the Kansas City Chiefs heading to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears, and the Dallas Cowboys travel to Denver to scrimmage the Broncos. There are nine more preseason games this weekend.
