Barnsdall and Pawhuska - District Breaking Point

Friday night's game between two Osage County rivals will tell a lot about what to expect going forward in Class A District 5.

Both Barnsdall and Pawhuska stand at 1-1 in district action after losing this past weekend, setting up a tipping point for both clubs this weekend when they square off against each other.

The Huskies lost a close game at home to Morrison, 30-6. Meanwhile Barnsdall had a rough first half at Hominy and was unable to rebound, as the Bucks won 52-34 to hand the Panthers their first loss of the year.

Now Barnsdall and Pawhuska square off against one another for a district game on Friday night in Barnsdall. It could be a make or break game or both teams, as the district pecking order is still being decided.

That is not to mention the renewed rivalry of a district ballgame between two teams separated by 15 miles. Here is Pawhuska head coach Matt Hennesy.

Pawhuska at Barnsdall will air at 7:00 on Friday night on Sports Talk 99.1 FM – KPGM.
