Bartlesville Baseball To Host Enid Wednesday

Bartlesville fell at Enid 2-1 on Monday afternoon, and pending weather postponed the Bruin's second schedule game against Enid.

BHS was scheduled to host Enid on Tuesday, but will now host the Plainsmen on Wednesday at 6:00. We will air that game on KWON - AM 1400 and FM 93.3. The Bruins will honor their seniors before the game at 5:30.

Bartlesville pitched tremendously on Monday. Zach Snow and Trevor Doyle combined for six innings of one-hit baseball. However, the one hit was a big one. A two-out single off the bat of CJ Ardnt scored two runs in the first inning, and that is all Enid wiould need.

The first started off innocently enough. Snow struck out the first two batters he faced. But after a walk, a hit by pitch, and a wild pitch; Enid had two men in scoring position that came home on the Plainsmen's only base knock of the game.

Bartlesville managed just two hits off Enid starter Jonny Chavez. He went a complete seven innings. He struck out 10 and walked only one. Logan McNeill doubled to begin the fourth inning. He stood at third base with no one out. It looked like BHS squandered an opportunity, as Bartlesville grounded out to the pitcher, and struck out.

McNeill scored on an error with two outs. Trevor Doyle popped up to shallow right field. The ball fell, and Bartlesville scored its only run of the game.

BHS falls to 10-19. Bartlesville will play a Bixby on Thursday and at Sand Springs on Friday.
