Bartlesville Falls at Booker T.

Bartlesville High had some flashes of promise, but the Hornets ultimately pulled away on Thursday night.

Bartlesville went on the road to Booker T. Washington and battled with the defending 6A-II State Champions. Booker T. won 43-7.

The two teams were knotted up at zero entering the second quarter.

Big plays by the Hornet offense, and field position woes for the Bruins allowed Booker T. to take a 15-0 lead into halftime. In the second half a turnover bug bit the Bruins.

BHS had two fumbles and an interception on the night. Bartlesville also had a punt blocked that Booker T. recovered for a touchdown.

The lone BHS score came, of course, on a DeAndre Young touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Young finished with 210 yards, the senior is averaging nearly 195 yards a game through four contests. He has scored seven touchdowns.

Quarterback Ben Winters went 10-22 through the air for 79 yards. Bartlesville drops to 1-3 and is done with a particularly brutal portion of its schedule.

Sapulpa visits Custer Stadium for homecoming on Friday, Sept. 28.
