Bartlesville Soccer Loses Thriller

The Bruin's looked like they were about to get on a role.

Both the Bartlesville soccer teams had won three of their past four games entering the second home matches of the year against Bishop Kelley.

Unfortunately, the momentum didn't carry. The BHS boys fell to the Comets 2-1 in overtime, while the Lady Bruins lost 3-1.

Both BHS teams drop to .500 at 3-3 before they are next at Ponca City on Friday. The Bishop Kelley boy's improve to 2-0, the Lady Comets are 3-2.

The loss for the boy's was particularly upsetting. BHS lost on a goal with 29 seconds left in overtime. This marks the second loss at home for Bartlesville that was decided by one goal.

The Bruins did have some excitement on their goal. Appleyard got a header to find the back of the net off a corner kick from Sloan Becker.
