Bartlesville Soccer vs. Bishop Kelley

Both the Bartlesville boy’s and girl’s soccer teams are hosting Bishop Kelley in the second home matches of the season on Tuesday evening at Custer Stadium.

The boy’s and girl’s soccer teams for BHS have taken a similar path early this season. Both lost their home opener against Jenks, bounced back with a win at Sapulpa, then went 2-1 in the Claremore Zebra Classic.

After only playing two games in the first two weeks of the season, this will be both team’s fourth game in five days.

The girl’s have started to improve their play, scoring more goals and improving communication with the back line, according to head coach Aaron Kuntz. Kuntz talks about the ladies play so far.

Kuntz specifically pointed to Kelsey Eaton as player who has been doing well. Eaton was named to the All-Tournament Team for the Claremore classic. Central defenders, Ashton Johnson and others were all vital to the Lady Bruin’s success at the tournament.

Overall, Kuntz says the girls are moving forward, but have plenty to work on. He wants the team to peak at the right time.

As for Tuesday’s opponent, Bishop Kelley, Kuntz says BHS will have it’s hands full.
