Bartlesville Swipes Sand Springs
Bartlesville improved to 4-0 on the 2015 campaign with a win against Sand Springs on Friday night at Custer Stadium.
BHS opened the ballgame with a 17-0 lead and never looked back.
Sand Springs faltered on chances to keep the game within arms distance. Bartlesville quarterback Colton Penrod fumbled a snap with less than two minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter, but Tristian Crowder came up with an interception on a fourth and goal play for the Sandites that ended the CPHS threat.
The Sandites scored after a 48-yard pass from Hunter Greathouse to Lane Lettich with one minute remaining in the third quarter. The Bruins struck back on a 35-yard pass from Penrod to AJ Parker. It was Parker's second touchdown grab of the game.
Bartlesville's first string defense has only allowed 14 points all season.
