BHS Baseball Schedule Change

April showers bring high school baseball scheduling changes.

Bartlesville High will try to dodge the raindrops at the end of this week to play two previously rescheduled district games.

BHS has moved its double-header with Bixby and Moore to Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.

The twin bill was previously scheduled for the evening, at 5:00 and 7:30. Both games were already rescheduled to Friday after rainouts from earlier in April and March.

Bill Doenges' infield, which is natural grass, may have taken on too much water to play the games in Bartlesville on Friday. If that is the case, the games will be played in Bixby. The Spartans have a turf infield on their on-campus baseball facility.

A determination on whether the games will occur in Bartlesville, or in Bixby, will come by 10:30 on Friday morning.

The day-games will air on Sports Talk 1500 AM – KPGM and FM 99.1.

Bartlesville is 10-13-1 on the season following two close losses to Enid on Monday and Tuesday. BHS is 5-7 in district play, right in the middle of the pack in 6A-District 4, which is why the makeup games are vital to playoff seeding.

6A baseball regionals begin on Wednesday, May 4.

BHS had already canceled its game on Thursaday night against Tulsa Memorial, Memorial had to make up a district game of its own.
