BHS Girls Win Rnd. 1 in 6A Regional

The Bartlesville girl's basketball team is headed to the area tournament after a come from behind win against Sapulpa on Thursday night at Putnam City West. 

The Lady Bruins topped the Lady Chieftains 47-37 in round one of the 6A Regionals. BHS will now play the host club - PC West on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 for the regional championship. 

Bartlesville (15-8) struggled out of the gate - scoring only two points in the first quarter. However, just as the Lady Bruins have done the past several weeks, offense came in bunches later. BHS scored 17 points in the second quarter - and 22 points in the final quarter - to pull away from Sapulpa. 

The Bartlesville girl's have won seven of their last eight games entering the regional final. KWON - AM 1400 and FM 93.3 will broadcast that game from PC West with pregame at 1:00 on Saturday afternoon. 

The Bruin boy's begin play in the 6A Regionals on Friday night at Midwest City - also taking on Sapulpa. Bartlesville fell to the Chieftains 65-57 last week. 

That broadcast will begin around 6:00 with tip off at 6:30 also on KWON.
