BHS Softball Off to Strong Start

High school softball is off to a roaring start in Northeast Oklahoma, there is another full day of play in the area on Thursday.

Bartlesville High is 3-1 on the softball diamond. BHS has Sperry in town on Thursday for anther home contest. The Lady Bruins lone loss was in a close come-back-bid against Jenks last week.

Defense has been shaky at times, but Bartlesville head softball coach Craig Hampton says he is pleased with the first couple of weeks this season.

Bartlesville hosts Sperry at 7:00.

Elsewhere in softball: Dewey hosts Nowata. And Pawhuska, Oklahoma Union, Caney Valley and Barnsdall all begin play in the Barnsdall tournament today in Osage County.
