The spring recruiting and signing period is upon us, which means area athletes are choosing where they’re going to play their respective sports at the next level.

At Bartlesville High School, girls’ basketball star Lauren Richter, boys cross country standout Henry Williams and softball player Kiersten Brown all signed to play their sports in college this week.

Lauren Richter, a 6-3 post player who was a move-in into Bartlesville this past season signed to play at Washburn, a division two school out of Topeka, Kansas. Richter was instrumental in the Lady Bruin’s run in the 6A post season this past winter.

Henry Williams signed to run Cross Country at Tulsa on Wednesday. Williams was a huge part of the Bartlesville boys cross country state championship this past fall. Here is Williams following the first-ever Bartlesville boys cross country state title back in October.

Not only is Williams going to a division one school, but Tulsa was a top 20 cross country program in the country this past year.

And Kiersten Brown signed to play softball at Neosho Community College in Kansas.

We will have more on area athletes signing to play collegiately as the spring progresses.
