Bruin Athletic Dept. Talks Bond

Bartlesville Public Schools is still in the process of trying to decide what might be on the next bond issue, which would come to a vote later on this year.

We had a story last week detailing how turf at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium might be an option for a part of the bond in athletics. Whether it is turf for the baseball, a practice facility or press box renovations, Bartlesville Athletic Director Spence Rigdon says it is easier getting ahead of possible facility issues now, than to get behind them later.

Bartlesville Public Schools has said it wants the school board to vote on the bond in May. The next special meeting for the bond will be March 27 at the Bartlesville High Hospitality Rooms.

There will be another special meeting in April prior to the vote, as well.
