Bruin Hoops Wins in Texas

Bartlesville boys’ basketball got an impressive showing on Friday afternoon during the Bruins lone game in the Duncanville, Texas Hoopsfest.

BHS topped Lake Highlands, Texas 73-66.

The victory comes in the recruiting-event against a program with multiple college recruits.

David Castillo led BHS with 28 points. He got his 28 on 9-14 shooting, including 6-8 from three-point range.

Aadi Ayyappan also scored 20-points for BHS, as Jordan Carter was the other Bruin in double-figures with 11.

The Bruins shot 54-percent from the field, including 9-20 from beyond the arc. They also made 9-10 free throws.

Bartlesville has one more matchup in a similar event in Texarkana on Dec.4. The Bruins will start their play in Oklahoma on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at Jenks.
