The Bruin boy’s tennis team finished up a great 2016 campaign with their two state representative battling into day no. 2 at the 6A State Tennis Meet.

Daniel Meszaros took seventh in the state at no. 1 singles, going 1-1 on Friday, and then winning his first match of the day on Saturday.

Meszaros would lose a tough match in the consolation semifinals but then win the seventh place match against Lucciano Razzuoli from Broken Arrow. Meszaros fell behind Razzuoli one set to none, but won the final two sets 6-3, 6-3.

Jonathon Wood did lose his first, and only, match of the day on Saturday to Josh Spiers from Ponca City at no. 2 singles. Spiers went on to finish sixth overall at no. 2.
