It was all Bartlesville from the get-go, as the Bruin football team won its second game in three weeks.

BHS blasted Putnam City West 52-8 on Friday night at Custer Stadium.

The Bruins forced five turnovers, blocked a punt, forced two safeties, and engulfed the Patriots from the very beginning.

Braeden Winters scored three touchdowns on the evening.

The first was a 64-yard touchdown that got Bartlesville on the board first, and set the tone for the evening.

Bartlesville would tack on another score in the next four minutes on another Winters’ score, this time a run from four-yards out. After two more field goals and a safety, the rout was on.

Paxton Bradford had one of his best nights throwing the ball. He went 7-15 for 140 yards and three touchdowns, all to different wide receivers.

This toss to Gage Keaton got the Bruins leading wide receiver on the board for the first time since Week No. 2.

Bartlesville out gained PC West 312 yards to 141. BHS allowed only 17 yards total in the first half.

The Bruins will likely finish between 3rd and 6th in 6A-II District II, with the next two weeks being vital for playoff placement. BHS is next at Sand Springs on Friday night.
