Bruins Fall at Bixby
The winning streak ended just before halftime for the Bartlesville football team.
Bartlesville fell to Bixby 63-14 on Thursday night. The Bruins couldn’t pull out a second straight win against the Spartans on the road, although at first it looked like it would be a ballgame.
Back-to-back turnovers from the Bartlesville offense, and then special teams, directly led to 14 straight points from Bixby in the final 2 minutes of the first half.
The Bruins went from having the ball with a chance to get within a score at halftime, to trailing 35-7 at the break.
Aside from big plays, Bixby struggled to move the football, meanwhile the Bruins would outgain Bixby in the first half, with drives that stalled near the 40-yard line.
Bartlesville is back at it on Friday night hosting Sand Springs for the Bruins senior night.
