Bruins Host Putnam City West Friday

Bartlesville High Football has its final home game on Friday night, as Putnam City West visits Custer Stadium.

The Bruins will try to keep PC West winless, as the Patriots have not won in 763 days, dating back to Sept. of 2018. This is the first meeting between the two schools, as Putnam City West was shipped east to compete in 6A-District-II.

Bartlesville head football coach Jason Sport says if his team fixes its own issues from a week ago, things will probably work out tonight.

Sport talked positively about the change to the playoff format, as the Bruins know they will be dancing in the postseason in a matter of weeks. However, he says the knowledge should do little to change his team’s outlook moving forward.

Bartlesville will have a chance at hosting a first-round game, and has all of its goals still on the table.

Bruins and Patriots kick off at 7:00 PM from Custer Stadium, a 6:30 pregame on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3 and can listen on our digital platforms. You can watch the contest as well on KWONTV.com and on the new KWONTV Apple TV app.
