BSC 2015 Athletic Hall of Fame

The Bartlesville Sports Commission officially inducted its 2015 Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday at the Hilton Garden Inn. 

The inductees were enshrined as the eighth class that the Sports Commission has put together. 

Tim Tolin, Vicki Streets, Paul Geymann, The Blazer Softball Organization and the 1966 College High Girls Swim team were all inducted.

Vicki Streets was a 1982 Sooner High graduate who went on to play softball and basketball at the University of Oklahoma. She now is a high school assistant in Durango, Colorado. 

Tim Tolin graduated from Sooner High in 1977. He played football, basketball and baseball in Bartlesville. He ended up playing collegiately at Wichita State University in baseball. He now lives in Tulsa and is in banking. 

Paul Geymann served as Athletics and Physical Education Director for Bartlesville Public Schools from 1969 until 1975. He played basketball at then Oklahoma A&M in 1946 and 1947 for Henry Iba in basketball. 

The Blazer Softball Organization was formed by Lew Ambler and Andy Anderson, who helped start a softball dynasty in Bartlesville. There were nine state championships in Bartlesville. The 1982 Blazer's team finished third in the country. 

The 1966 College High Girl's Swim Team started a long tradition of swimming in Bartlesville. The squad won the first of 15 state titles.
