Caney Valley Faces Oklahoma Union
Two area high school football teams will be looking for their first victory of the season as the Caney Valley Trojans will travel to Northern Nowata County to take on the Oklahoma Union Cougars in a Class 2A District Eight showdown. The Trojans are coming into Friday night's game after a 63-56 loss to Commerce. Caney Valley's offense seems to be improving, but head coach Anthony Fogle says that the defense must improve.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma Union is coming into Friday night's game after a 55-0 loss at Nowata. Head coach Rick Winbigler says that the Cougars must establish a running game.
