Bartlesville High basketball continues to work toward the start of its 2021-22 season, as the Bruins made a long road trip to Wichita Falls, Texas for preseason and scrimmage action on Saturday.

The Bruins took part in three scrimmages against teams from the Lone star state.

While the Bruins were on the road, their sophomore point guard picked up another big-time scholarship offer. David Castillo officially announced an offer from the University of Texas.

UT and head coach Chris Beard join a long line of suitors for Castillo, who has earned offers from Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, K-State, South Carolina, Arkansas, Illinois, and Texas Tech – among others.

Castillo says he enjoys going through the recruiting process.

The Bruins will play two games out of state to begin the year on Nov. 26 and Dec. 4.

Their first game in the Sooners state is a Frontier-Valley conference double-header at Jenks on Dec. 7.
