Co-op News Good for Copan

KWON Sports reported on the good news for Copan football late last week, as the Hornets are assured to have another year of football this fall thanks to a new co-op.

The South Coffeyville School Board approved a co-op on the gridiron between the two schools on Thursday evening. The partnership has been in the works since late last year, once it was clear that the Hornets old co-op partner, Wesleyan Christian School in Bartlesville, was going to move on.

Copan skipper Shane Page says knowing that the partnership will happen early will benefit both sets of kids.

Page said that Copan will play South Coffeyville’s entire schedule that was set for this season. The team will compete in Class B District 8.

We will have more on the co-op between Copan and South Coffeyville as spring football continues on this week.
