Copan Hopes to Avoid Turnovers

Let’s look north to Copan on the gridiron, as the Hornets are still a little banged up after a district-opening loss at Bluejacket this past Friday.

Copan fell 48-20. Injury problems popped back up with a number of players who had hoped to be close to 100-percent coming off a bye week had to sit out the end of the game. The Hornets also committed six turnovers in the loss – making a close game seem lopsided at a 28-point deficit.

Copan head coach Marshall Foreman says his team will have a chance down the stretch to get some wins, but they have to play sharper.

Most of Copan’s turnovers were fumbles caused by bad snaps. Foreman said they will look at many options for center this week.

Things will not get a ton easier, as Copan faces Medford, a 3-1 team, this week.
