The Oklahoma Union football team has a simple task on Friday night. Beat Fairland and it will qualify for the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season. The Cougars have never made the playoffs in four consecutive seasons in school history.

OKU is coming off its second consecutive close loss. Last week the Cougars fell to Commerce 34-21 in a game that could have clinched their spot in the postseason. OKU has now lost three straight games to teams that should be the top three district seeds.

Jayden St. John was been a playmaker at quarterback and Trinton Kuehn has been a force a tailback, but wide receiver/defensive back Baylor Nash could be the biggest weapon on the Cougars. Head coach Stephen Trammell talks about Nash’s impact.

Oklahoma Union hosts Fairland for 7 p.m. kickoff from Lenapah. Friday night’s winner will the No. 4 seed in Class A-5.
