Dewey Lady Doggers Win Nowata Softball Title

The Dewey Lady Doggers softball team started the 2016 season off with a bang, going 7-1 this past week and ending with a Nowata Softball tournament championship on Saturday.  The Lady Doggers defeated the Sperry Lady Pirates 7-5.  Sperry jumped out early in the top of the first inning leading 3-0 and Dewey came storming back, scoring five runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 5-3 lead.  Dewey would hold on with the lead for the rest of the game.
