Dewey Softball Wins OKU Tournament
It was milestone weekend for the Dewey Softball team as it won four games to take home the Oklahoma Union tournament championship. The Lady Doggers knocked off Oklahoma Union, 9-5 in the tournament championship to hoist the trophy.
Dewey used a five-run seventh inning to rally and the beat the Cougars on their home field. Riley Nickerson and Gabby Higbee each had four hits in the tile game. Higbee hit home runs in each of the final two games of the tournament as well.
Dewey also knocked off Broken Arrow JV, Chelsea and Welch on the way to the title.
The Lady Doggers stand at 15-7 on the season with just over a week remaining in the regular season.
