Dewey Splits With Claremore-Sequoyah
The Dewey Bulldoggers and Lady Doggers took on Claremore-Sequoyah on Homecoming. The Lady Doggers fell short to the Lady Eagles 48-32 while the Doggers won 65-61. In the girls game, it was the third period that doomed Dewey as the Lady Eagles took controll and won by 16 points. Dewey's Kaleigh Hinkle led with 10 points. In the boys game, the Doggers got into a slugfest to a scrapy Eagles ballclub who came into the game with a 1-9 record, but Dewey found a way early in the fourth period to lead as many as 10 points. Claremore-Sequoyah's comeback fell short as the Doggers picked up their ninth win of the season. Caleb Harp led with 18 points while Collin Wood finished with 11 points, all in the second half. Dewey will play at Nowata Saturday night. The boys will play at 6:30 while the girls game will follow at 8 o'clock.
