Two area teams faced each other Friday night as the Dewey Bulldoggers and Lady Doggers hosted the Pawhuska Huskies and Lady Huskies.  It was a clean sweep for both Dewey clubs.  Lady Doggers won 46-34 while the Doggers won 65-54.

In the girls game, it was a tale of two halves.  Pawhuska led 21-15 at halftime, but Dewey would respond and outscored Pawhuska 19-3 in the third period to take a 34-24 lead.  Lady Doggers would keep their lead and won by 12 points.  Dewey's Addison Moll and Karissa Jones led Dewey with 17 points a piece.  Pawhuska was led by Sierra Sellers with 12 points.

It was a very entertaining boys game.  Both teams scrambled for most of the contest.  Pawhuska led after the first period 21-14 and were outscored by the Doggers 22-13 in the second period to take a 36-35 lead at halftime.  Pawhuska responed in the third and led 47-44.  But it was the Doggers in the fourth that sealed the deal.  Dewey's Blayze Rippy came up big for Dewey, making six 3-pointers and finished with 21 points.  Rippy hit one of his six 3-pointers in the fourth period giving the Doggers the lead 52-49.  After that, Dewey went on a 21-7 run in the fourth period to win by 12 points.  Dewey's Drew Miller finished with 17 while Caston Frye added 10 points.  Pawhuska's William Merrill led with 25 points and made five 3-pointers.

Next up for Pawhuska will be on Saturday as they will host Cleveland while Dewey's next game will be this Tuesday as they will host Chelsea.
