Dewey Sweeps Wesleyan Christian

The Dewey Bulldoggers and Lady Doggers got off to a good start in the 2015-2016 season Friday night as they took care of Wesleyan Christian.  Lady Doggers won 65-24 while the Doggers won 72-53.

A lot of fouls were called during the girls game and both teams combined attempted 60 free throws. Dewey went 10 of 33 while the Lady Mustangs went 10 of 27.  Lady Doggers led throught the game, outscoring Wesleyan Christian 35-6 in the first half.  Dewey's defense gave up one field goal in the first half.  Erin Herchock led the Lady Doggers with 18 points while Ashley Bridges came off the bench and finished with 13 points.  Lady Mustangs Alicia Deal led the team with nine points.

The boys game was close throughout the first half.  Dewey led 27-26 at halftime, but pulled out in the third period, outscoring Wesleyan Christian 24-11 to take control of the game.  Hunter Hines led the Doggers with 23 points while Drew Miller finished with 16 points, 14 of those points in the second half.  Trenton Anderson added 14 points.  The Mustangs were led by Brandon Moore's 21 points while Levi Krebbs added 16 points.

Next for the Doggers and Lady Doggers will be on December 1st as they host Sperry.  Girls play at 6:30 P.M. while the boys will play at 8 P.M.
