District Opener For Nowata And Caney Valley
Two area football teams will square off tonight in Ramona as the Nowata Ironmen will take on the Caney Valley Trojans. Both teams will open up district play in 2A-8. Caney Valley is 1-2 overall coming off a 41-22 loss at Drumright, which the Trojans had the lead. Caney Valley head coach Stephen Mitchell said that the Trojans must be aggressive.
Tonight's game will be the first home game of the season for Caney Valley. Meanwhile, the Ironmen are 2-2 overall coming off a disappointing 41-38 loss to Verdigris. Here's Nowata head coach Cory James.
