Eagle Baseball Looks to Stay Consistent

Oklahoma Wesleyan has a chance to extend its new win streak on Friday evening with game one of a three-game conference series with Bethany.

OKWU had a 15-game winning streak snapped last weekend at Tabor College, since then the Eagles swept Southwestern Assembles of God University in two games on Tuesday.

OKWU is up to No. 4 in the country in NAIA baseball. Oklahoma Wesleyan has been one of the most consistent programs in the nation this year. Eagle head coach Matt Parker credits that to his team trying to look inward.

Bethany is 13-14 on the season. The Swedes are 5-7 in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play, good for seventh. OKWU is in first and has a two-game lead on the field for the KCAC lead. The Eagles are 26-3 overall.

First pitch at 6:00 PM at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium. The two teams will wrap up the three-game set on Saturday with a double-header at 1:00.
