Gundy: Sanders to Get More Reps
Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy indicated that Cowboy quarterback Spencer Sanders might have a chance to play this Saturday, as the 2-0 Pokes travel to KU to face the Jayhawks in their second Big 12 game of the year.
True freshman Shane Illingworth was serviceable in his first start this past weekend, but the Oklahoma State offense again struggled to find its usual spark. The Cowboys scored only 27-points, with seven of those coming off a defensive touchdown.
Gundy details Sanders availability for this week.
Gundy also said that the OK-State coaches toyed with putting Sanders in the game a few times this past weekend, but ultimately decided to keep his ankle sidelined.
Cowboys and Jayhawks kick at 2:30 from Lawrence this Saturday on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
