Hubbard Named Top Canadian in College Football

Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard has been awarded the Cornish Trophy, an award presented annually to the top Canadian player in college football. Hubbard had this to say after accepting the award during a virtual ceremony.

Hubbard grew up in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada. In 2019 Hubbard led the NCAA with 2,094 rushing yards. The sophomore also ended eighth in the Heisman Trophy voting, which is the third highest finish ever for a Canadian is born player.

Hubbard rushed for over 200 yards in four different games during the 2019 season. His 296 yards against Kansas State was a career high. It included this break away score from 84 yards away.

Hubbard opted to return to Stillwater for the 2020 instead of testing his luck in the NFL Draft. Las Vegas gives Hubbard the best odd of any running back to win the 2020 Heisman at 25-1.
