Huskies Get Win Over Hominy, Preparing for Colcord

The Pawhuska Huskies were able to get revenge on the Hominy Bucks last Friday after losing to them earlier in the season. Most importantly, that win meant Pawhuska advanced into the second round of the Class A state playoffs where they will host a 9-2 Colcord team this Friday. Senior Mason Gilkey praised his teammates for coming out and playing well from the start.

Looking ahead to Friday's game with Colcord, Coach Matt Hennesy doesn't care how the Huskies win as long as they advance to the next round and the Pawhuska faithful comes out in full support.

The Hornets are riding a five-game winning streak and have scored more than 39 points in all but two games this season. We will have more on that matchup later in the week, which can be heard on Sportstalk KPGM FM 99.1 and streaming on KPGMTV.com.
