Huskies Having Great Practices Leading Up to Hominy on Friday
When Pawhuska Football Coach Matt Hennesy sends out the scouting report each week, he always attaches some motivational messages to get the team ready for the coming opponent. His message this week as the Huskies get set to take on the Hominy Bucks in the first round of the Class A playoffs was simple: One it's Hominy. Two it's playoffs. Three, that's enough said.
After celebrating a district championship on Friday, the Huskies were back to work preparing for the Bucks on Sunday and Hennsey said practices have been great this week.
One thing Hennesy has talked to his seniors about is the chance for them to make up for the Hominy loss earlier in the year.
Kickoff from Ormond-Beach Memorial Stadium is scheduled for this Friday at 7 p.m. and pregame coverage will start at 6:30 p.m. on Sportstalk KPGM FM 99.1 and streaming on KPGMTV.com.
