Huskies Prepare for Homecoming Game Against Fairland

The Pawhuska Huskies moved to 4-0 on the year after a convincing 48-14 victory at Commerce last week. Coach Matt Hennesy expects the Huskies to run 35 offensive plays per half. On Friday, they only got in 32 total offensive plays, but the offense was plenty effective, as Bryce Drummond passed for 384 yards and tossed seven touchdowns.

Hennesy says Pawhuska must do a better job getting off the field on third down, as the Tigers opened the third quarter on an eight minute drive alone. Most coaches say their least favorite game of the year is homecoming because of all of the outside distractions. Even with those outside distractions, Hennesy says practice has been productive thus far.

Senior lineman Jamar Goff says this has been a productive week and that he and his teammates will be prepared for Friday night’s game against Fairland.

Friday night’s game will be aired on Sportstalk KPGM FM 99.1 with pregame coverage beginning at 6:45 p.m. You can also watch the game at KPGMTV.com.
