Huskies Roll to 8-0 with Win Over Afton
A slow start but another big win for Pawhuska. The top-ranked Huskies dispatched Afton, 66-0. Pawhuska moves to 8-0 on the season. After a punt on the opening drive the Huskies would find the endzone with Bryce Drummond connecting with Jack Long.
The Huskies showed that they are in fact human as Drummond would throw a first quarter interception. Pawhuska would rally and score four more times before the break. Drummond would add two more touchdown passes. Then Dalton Hurd returned an interception for a touchdown.
The Dawgs added a punt return TD to make it 36-0 by halftime. Pawhuska dominated the second half to push the total to 66 points. Drummond ended with four touchdowns and two interceptions. Mason Gilkey was on the receiving end of three of them.
The Huskies play Wyandotte next week.
