The Doenges Ford Indians were swept in their regular season finale on Sunday afternoon at Connor’s State College.

Three-Rivers beat Bartlesville 5-0 and 6-5 to end the Indian’s regular season on a sour note.

Both games were one-run affairs going into the bottom of the sixth inning, but Three-Rivers came on in the clutch. Bartlesville (20-17) trailed the Bandits 1-0 going into the bottom of the sixth inning in game one. An error led to a four-run sixth for Three-Rivers, providing them with the final margin.

Logan McNeill pitched well in game one. He went the full six innings, giving up only two earned runs. However, the Indian’s only managed two hits against his counter part,  Connor Mangham.

The Indian’s almost had the lead in game one, when Trevor Doyle blooped a two-out single to shallow center field. Chase Fiddler was on second and started toward home, but a terrific throw from Bandit centerfielder Josh Cowart caught Fiddler at the plate for out no. three.

Game two was a different story for the Indians. The Indian’s kept answering the Bandits, and trailed 5-3 entering the top of the seventh. Brady Kokojan reached base on an error to begin the frame. The next batter, Fiddler, doubled home Kokojan. With Fiddler on third base and one out, Bryce Short singled through a drawn-in infield to tie the game at 5-5.

In the bottom of the seventh reliever Gensen Streets allowed the winning run to score on a wild pitch.

Next up for the Indians: The Oklahoma Legion Baseball Tournament. Bartlesville will be hosting the tournament with four-games a day on Friday and Saturday with Sunday’s schedule to be determined.

The seedings have not been released.
