Indians Fall Short To Ft. Smith

The Bartlesville Doenges Ford Indians concluded play Sunday afternoon in the Glen Winget Tournament against Ft. Smith.  The Indians fell short 7-2 in the consolation game.

Ft. Smith jumped out early with a solo homerun by Colby Demato in the top of the fourth inning.  Ft. Smith would score another run and took a 2-0 lead.  Bartlesville would cut the lead in the fourth scoring one run.  The score remained 2-1 when Ft. Smith scored three runs in the sixth and two runs in the seventh.  Bartlesville's other run came in the bottom of the sixth.  Brady Kokojan took the loss on the mound.  In six innings of work, Kokojan gave up seven runs on eight hits, and struck out three.  Logan McNeil was hot at the plate, going 3 for 3 with a triple and a double.  Braden Beasley, Zac Boyes, and Jacob Ruiz each got a hit.

Indian's schedule and results

Both McNeil and Kokojan were named to the Glen Winget All Tournament Team.  The Indians are 17-12 overall and 2-2 in tournament play.  

Next up for the Indians is Thursday evening at Ft. Smith.
