Indians Run Rule Rogersville

The Bartlesville Doenges Ford Indians improve to 2-0 in pool play Saturday night with a 9-1 victory over Rogersville Wildcats in the Winget Tournament.  

The Indians scored five of their nine runs in the bottom of the first inning, thanks to five errors by Rogersville.  Overall, the Wildcats committed seven errors.  Corey Murphy pitched three innings and got the win to improve to 5-1 overall.  Murphy gave up one hit and struck out four.  Nolan Schaper came in relief and pitched two innings, allowed a run on three hits, and struck out one batter.  The Indians, as a team, had five hits.  Logan McNeil, Chase Fiddler, Dustin Weisenbach, Zac Boyes, and Trevor Doyle each got a hit.

Bartlesville improves to 17-9 overall and will face Ft. Smith Sunday evening at 7 o'clock, weather permitting.  Ft. Smith is also 2-0 in the Winget Tournament.  You can hear the game on KWON 1400 AM and 93.3 FM.
