The Doenges Ford Indians got back in the win column with a 9-4 victory over MVP Heath on Thursday afternoon in Enid. The Indians overcame a 4-2 deficit with a big fourth inning rally to dispatch the select team from Oklahoma City. This snaps a five game losing streak for the team.

Bartlesville loaded the bases in the fourth inning and got an RBI infield single from Luke Fox to make it 4-3. That set the table for Dakota Ward to give the Tribe the lead.

Andrew Harden and Calvin Johnson also had RBI hits in the contest. The Indians were patient on the day inducing nine walks or hit by pitches.

Nik Johnson shined on the mound with three scoreless inning of relief to earn the win. Starter Ryan Jones gave up four runs in two innings in his Indians debut. Ward would strike out three in the final frame to secure the win. Bartlesville is now 7-9 on the summer.

The Tribe are now 1-1 in the AABC Regional Tournament in Enid with two pool play games remaining. Bartlesville takes on the Southwest Shockers Black team on Friday at 5 p.m. Radio coverage on Sportstalk 1500 AM—99.1 FM KPGM.
