Indians Throw No-Hitter Before Rain

A no-hitter is a no-hitter, regardless of the number of innings.

Indian pitcher Trevor Doyle threw a five-inning no-hitter in a win against Tulsa Memorial on Monday night at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium. The Indians won both games, game one 11-0 in five innings, and game two 8-3 in three innings (rain shortened).

Only three men reached base against Doyle, and two of them were eliminated in double-plays. Doyle faced 16, the minimum would have been 15 in the five inning affair.

Logan McNeil led Bartlesville at the plate, he finished game one with a double, a single and three RBIs. Brady Kokojan also had two hits in the game one win.

Game two was a different story.

The Indians fell behind 2-1 before a 7-run bottom of the third inning. Bartlesville sent 10 batters to the plate against the Chargers starter Matt Garroute. Bryce Short led the Indians at the plate with two hits in game two.

The heavy rain struck downtown Bartlesville around 8:50 and the game was called after three innings at 9:00.
