Joe Washington in Bartlesville

There was a Super Bowl Champion in Bartlesville on Friday afternoon.

Former Oklahoma Sooner running back Joe Washington was the featured speaker during Arvest Bank's Financial Friday Forum

Washington played in the NFL for 10 seasons with the San Diego Chargers, Baltimore Colts, Washington Redskins and the Atlanta Falcons. He played under Barry Switzer at OU in the mid-70s. He finished third in Heisman voting in 1974. He was a two-time All American as a Sooner. 

Washington rushed for 4,839 yards in his career in the NFL. He won a Super Bowl as a member of the 1984 Redskins. Washington talks about his speech in Bartlesville.

Washington is currently a special assistant to the Athletic Director at the University of Oklahoma.
