The third matchup against Muskogee went much like the first two for the Bartlesville girl's basketball team.

It was all Lady Bruins in their 6A Regional first-round contest against Muskogee. BHS blasted the Lady Roughers 76-44 on Friday night at Bruin Fieldhouse.

The Lady Bruins got out to a 21-2 lead late in the first quarter, and never led by less than 18 the rest of the way. Bartlesville was led in scoring by Jena' Williams, who finished with 21, but scored the majority of her points in the first half.

The win improves the Lady Bruins to 24-0. BHS will next be in action in their own regional final on Monday evening at 7:00 against Deer Creek. Edmond Deer Creek topped Ponca City 56-41 in the other regional semifinal on Friday to eliminate the Lady Cats.

With the win against Muskogee, BHS will advance to the area tournament win or lose on Monday. If the Lady Bruins can beat Deer Creek, they would be one win from state.

Deer Creek is 16-8 and has won five its its last six games.
