Mickey Ripley Dies at 72

A big time name in Bartlesville sports passed away on Wednesday.

Former Bartlesville High head football coach Mickey Ripley died at the age of 72 at his home in Edmond.

He was the first-ever BHS head coach on the gridiron, and served as head coach for the Bruins for 12 seasons from 1982-1993.

He coached current Bartlesville Sports Hall of Famer Mitch Nash and is a member of the Oklahoma Coach’s Association Hall of Fame himself.
