Mustangs Ready for First Playoff Battle

Wesleyan Christian School football is getting set for one of its biggest games in program history, as the Mustangs will host a first-round playoff game in Class C on Friday night.

Sasakwa visits Bartlesville.

WCS moved back to the OSSAA just a handful years ago. It was forced to co-op with Copan to field a team three years ago. This was the kind of scenario the school and program imagined when they were trying to build the program.

Head coach Curt Cloud talks about what the accomplishment means for the program.

This is the second time the Mustangs have been to the OSSAA playoffs since 2012. The club lost a heartbreaking contest at home against Bowlegs in an expanded postseason field a year ago.

Regular season wins over Bluejacket and South Coffeyville the past two weeks sealed their fate.

Cloud talks about a tremendous 64-0 win over Southtown last week.

Sasakwa is 7-2 on the year. The game will kick at 7:00 on Silver Lake in Bartlesville.

More on that contest later on this week.
