Nowata County Showdown
Two Nowata County schools will square off at Nowata Ironmen Memorial Stadium tonight as the Nowata Ironmen will take on the Oklahoma Union Cougars. The Cougars are 0-4 on the season and are comming into tonight's game after a 21-0 loss to Chelsea. Meanwhile, the Ironmen are 3-2 overall and are coming into tonight's game after snapping a two-game losing streak beating Commerce 49-20. Despite the Cougars record, Nowata head coach Matt Hagebusch says Oklahoma Union is better than their record.
Nowata has won the last three meetings, including last year's 45-0 victory at Oklahoma Union. It's homecoming for the Ironmen. Kickoff is 7:30. You can hear the game on KRIG 104.9FM starting at 7 o'clock. Adam Hooper and Tim Howell have the call.
